From the director of PRISONERS comes this taut, critically acclaimed thriller filled with pulse-pounding suspense. After an idealistic FBI agent (Emily Blunt) is recruited by a government task-force official (Josh Brolin) to pursue a drug lord, she begins a perilous mission that forces her to question everything she believes—and pits her against a shadowy consultant (Oscar® winner Benicio Del Toro) with a dangerous agenda.

How this got a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes is beyond me. It’s very slow to get going and really never gets going! All you fans will absolutely love Wind River!

I can't believe this movie was not nominated for awards. Let me take that back...these award ceremonies are all political, that is why less audiences are watching them.

Zero chance Emily Blunt's character would ever make that TF. Hilarious.

I'm sure I will get flames by the PC Police, but I really don't care. The movie is mostly excellent (his the 4 stars) but it lost the fifth star due to a HUGE plot bomb. Emily Blunt (a fine actress) stars in this, but her character is supposed to be the team leader of an FBI HRT or Hostage Rescue Team. The HRT is a Very highly trained group of operators that mostly come from military special teams. But in our PC is Everything world we now live in we had to make the team leader a 5'5" and 115 pound girl who I doubt is even old enough to have the years of training to qualify as a recruit, much less team leader. I mean come on guys, she couldn't even carry the gear they wear, these guys go in with 60-90 pound packs, body armor multiple guns and loads of ammo. Put simply the total of the gear is equal or greater than her own weight (115 lbs, I looked it up, if you want to be picky, it came up as 114.5 lbs) and let's not forget these HRT people have to be able to rescue and CARRY out hostages if called upon, so your 115 lb "team leader" is going to carry her 120 lbs of gear plus an average 170 lbs adult out of a hostile areaaaaaaa........ come on. While I'm sure I will be considered a "female basher" I'm not, I'm defending the REAL HRT team members who go thru hell to qualify for such a prestigious team spot. Their jobs are different than Navy SEAL's but no less demanding (I'm sure a few SEAL's might disagree and some HRT's wouldn't) women can have the mental strength needed, but the job requires way above average Physical Strength Levels, and you just can't PC that away. Otherwise, good movie, great acting and no disrespect to E Blunt, she didn't write the silly thing, she just had to act with what she was given and did very well with what she was given.

This quickly became one of my favorite movies of all time. I'm actually pretty shocked that this wasn't nominated for any major awards.
