Description

In this big-screen Ninjago adventure, the battle for Ninjago City calls to action young Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja (Dave Franco), along with his friends, who are all secret warriors and LEGO Master Builders. Led by kung fu master Wu (Jackie Chan), as wisecracking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon (Justin Theroux), the Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad. Pitting mech against mech and father against son, the epic showdown will test this fierce but undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas who must learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash their true power.

Most of the jokes weren’t good, felt extremely rushed with no effort. The characters are bland and the story is ok I guess.

I liked it enough. It wasn’t as great as the tv series, but funny.

This movie is pretty good. My favorite parts came from the references. There are Vine references and movie and tv shows that I noticed and were pretty good

To us, Batman was a nostalgia filled headache desperately needing to be loved to the point of 'desperation'. This vague corner of the lego universe steps up the scripting with actual wit beyond established content and without the safety net of some preestablished narrative of familiarity to save it. Given, it's STILL a dumb childish story revolving around a kids play toy, but it's intelligence surpasses it's predecessors in many ways and gives credit to ingenuity and humor beyond cultural norms that is refreshing. Wthout a massive precursor backstory or novelty movie premise to fall back on as the 3rd outing, this movie does suprisingly well to make LEGO intelligent ...plus, Jackie Chan can't hurt that cool vibe either. The best, and most impressive, part of this movie is the vagueness and cultural unfamiliarity of it's content, but it still remains the most heart felt and original installment to date, despite the fact that pop culture downplays it because of it's lack of instantly recognizable charecters.
