In Sony Pictures Animation's The Star, a small but brave donkey named Bo yearns for a life beyond his daily grind at the village mill. One day he finds the courage to break free, and finally goes on the adventure of his dreams. On his journey, he teams up with Ruth, a lovable sheep who has lost her flock and Dave, a dove with lofty aspirations. Along with three wisecracking camels and some eccentric stable animals, Bo and his new friends follow the Star and become accidental heroes in the greatest story ever told – the first Christmas.

  • I really don’t want this in my life

    By Lillys39
Why? Nobody asked for Sony to make a joke out of the BIRTH OF CHRIST ITSELF! I really feel disrespected by this movie. I’m not sure a DONKEY was an important player in the birth of Christ!
  • Loved it

Glad for an animated nativity movie that was really good and entertaining!
  • Comedy and religion are hard to mix

    By JeffreyCatz
This movie lacked so many things, the characters were not cute nor were they interesting, the jokes were horrible, the story was ehh. Over all it felt really dry, comedy and religion are hard to mix and this movie is an excellent example of that.

Great movie on the greatest story.
  • Really?

    By ScallionBandit
Is this really trying to be a step up (AKA a forgiving) movie from that dreaded emoji movie? By tackling an obnoxious subject like the birth of Christ with talking animals that have similar character traits as that of the emoji movie characters? Soccor moms won't like this. I doubt any one who doesn't like religion being shoved down their throats will like it.
  • Wow

  • Wasn't Expecting Much

    By mrmroom
Took a seven year old to see this; mostly because of the animals. I didn't expect much and hadn't heard anything about this movie. It is the account of Jesus' birth told from the view-point of animals. I was surprised by the storytelling, animation and emotion it brought. I was simply blown away by it. It was absolutely worth going to see. Seven year old loved it, and I did too.
