Jason Momoa takes no prisoners in this intense action-thriller. When Joe (Momoa) and his father (Stephen Lang) arrive at their remote hunting cabin, they’re hoping for a quiet weekend. What they find is a stash of heroin, hidden in the cabin by drug traffickers. When the criminals suddenly descend upon the cabin, Joe and his father must make a kill-or-be-killed stand for survival.

    Very Poor
  • How is this not 100% rotten?

    By Eodsleep
OMG, really? Worst acting ever, literally have a guy running around with the barrel assemply missing on his gun ( I guess because it looks like a futuristic gun or something? It doesn't, just looks dumb), top all that off Jason Momoa only has his shirt of for about 1.2 seconds! This is the best example of how horrible rotten tomatoes and critic reviews are now. This rating should be fradulent and anyone who purchased it should be refunded.
  • Homage to action

Simple action that entertained.. a break from speeding cars that jump from building to building, Superhero’s and Sky scraper size robots and monsters.
  • Buy Carhartt Products instead of this movie

...geez. suspect the sequel will be duluth or maybe orvis. As is the norm for recent movies, this one has usual technical issues on par with netflix: - annoying product placement - actors fresh showered every scene - brand new vehicles all from same dealership - fire obviously simulated with clean propane gas burners, uniform flames - a cabin fire not realistically engulfed with any black smoke; actual wood cabin fire wld’ve been fully engulfed in under two minutes - this director needs to travel and spend time in a real mountain... and try to hunt and track himself before attempting to direct a movie in this environment - perfectly fluffy machine made snow is just not believable... scenes appeared more like a store display case. - actors remain dry every scene, no sweat; Jason acted ok, but obvious he was on a warm set, and not in frozen temperatures. - suburban mother carries bow/arrows in SUV, (which is awesome) - she locates daughter up mountain within minutes of seeing note left by 7yr old??; again, this director shows no actual outdoors experience and major details lacking. - Jason’s 100foot fall into icey water without a scratch, then immediate sprint up rock face was a bit much to accept. - a fireplace staying lit for hours without anyone tending - iron stoker gets red hot in 20seconds! - sheriffs driving light duty rear-wheel-drive trucks with touring tires? where? mountains? really? - Jason’s character intentionally stategizing to step into beartrap hastily tied to a dead 3” tree in order to jump over cliff?? ... ahgggh....

Terrible - tomatometer was way off on this disaster. I wish I had just rented it.
  • False reviews

The movie is actually good, the other reviews aren’t true.... ending could be better, and slight more plot twist, other than that it was a action packed, straight to the chase movie.
  • Not Rambo

A wannabe action flick. The ending is laughable! Wooden dialogue. The only redeeming factors are: The wife and the snowy setting. At times it reminded me of Home Alone with shooting.
  • Up there with Taxi Driver

One of the best movies I saw this year. A smart movie with great action!
  • A completely horrible movie

Let me give you a taste: Woman has bow and arrow, woman shoots bad guy through his hand pinning him to a rock. This causes the bad guy to drop the gun he had. Woman proceeds to approach bad guy and tries to fight him hand to hand. She could have easily shot him in the head with an arrow but doesn't. After a brief scuffle she stabs him with a knife but leaves him alive to attack her and another character later. This kind of horrible action scene happens over and over until it becomes absurd. I still can't believe I watched it until the end.
  • The mise en scene makes it worthwhile

This was a well done and entertaining low budget movie. A family man working in the north country is caught off guard when drug smugglers hide their stash at his remote cabin getaway, and then come back to claim it when he happens to be up there closing it down for the winter. To make matters worse, he is accompanied by his father who has Alzheimer's and his young daughter who snuck in the back of their truck, just to spend more time with dad and grandpa. The villain part is played by Garret Lee Dillahunt, and the final psychological showdown between him and the protagonist is worth the price of admission. If I were Rotten Tomatoes, I would give it an 83%, so it is somewhat underrated in my opinion. It gets the "Kyokushin Osu" seal of approval. If you ever liked any Steven Seagal movies, you will like this film.
