Academy Award® winner for Best Original Screenplay! From Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation) comes an original love story that explores the evolving nature and risks of intimacy in the modern world. Set in the Los Angeles of the slight future, Her follows Theodore Twombly (Joaquin Phoenix), a complex, soulful man who makes his living writing touching, personal letters for other people. Heartbroken after the end of a long relationship, he becomes intrigued with a new, advanced operating system. Upon initiating it, he is delighted to meet “Samantha” (Scarlett Johansson), a bright, female voice who is insightful, sensitive and surprisingly funny. As her needs and desires grow in tandem with his own, their friendship deepens into an eventual and unconventional love for each other.

    Best movie !
  • Garbage

An extremely ridiculous attempt to tap into the emotionally disconnected youth of today while piggy backing the quirky, “hipster” upper class that are equally as disconnected as the youth of today. Pure propaganda of “we are all equal no matter what way of life we choose”. Pure garbage of a movie.

  • Ughh the future?

When this movie’s previews first came out I was very skeptical! But now it’s 2017, and I guess with time and seeing that the computers can sound so human like (thanks Scarlett) my views have changed! Our world is changing! Computer & Human relationships I don’t necessarily agree with but I guess it’s a thing of our generation! Great film!
  • Waste of time

This was the most boring movie. Watching a guy have a love affair with his iPhone? Really? I can't believe all the great ratings. Did I miss something here? I mean it was almost painful at times watching a great actor play such a ridiculous part. It sounded dumb to begin with but after reading all the great reviews I thought why not. It was as dumb as I suspected.

Pretty outstanding film overall although some plots were easy to predict.
  • Spike Grows up

It's rare that a director grows up. When I see Wes Anderson movies, I see the opposite happening. A guy stuck in his pretty luggage. But Spike Jonze took a huge leap with this movie. It is a very honest and mature and vulnerable film. Look forward to what comes next.
