Description

In Season Five, single mom Christy Plunkett (Anna Faris) is trying to get her life on track after years of questionable choices. It’s challenging especially because she lives with her mother, Bonnie (Allison Janney), who Christy still considers the root of her troubles despite the fact that she has also gotten sober. Now mother and daughter are working to overcome their past mistakes and build a better future for their family. While Christy pursues her dream of becoming a lawyer, Bonnie attempts to have a healthy romantic relationship and figure out what she wants to be when she grows up. Through all of this, Christy and Bonnie rely on their support system from AA, including wise Marjorie (Mimi Kennedy), the wealthy and sometimes misguided Jill (Jaime Pressly), and the overly emotional Wendy (Beth Hall). Together they help each other stay sober and face whatever life throws at them.

  • This is good for a sitcom

This is good show, especially for the sitcom format. By this I mean, as I've gotten older, this "half-hour sitcom" format is not really my thing. But, I found myself liking this show.
